The Current Crisis

Just a few words on this for now... but it will lead in to more posts later on.
The global shutdown caused by this virus can be quite frightening. For those in vulnerable positions or less fortunate than myself I will have you in my thoughts and prayers. This is not a good time and so many will be reaching out for help and guidance and I pray that many will turn to God and Christ. Unfortunately in this, your hours of need, it may seem hard to find a way, to reach out to the unknown and trust that He will keep you safe.
The situation is not helped by the closure of Churches as these are the natural gathering points in times of crisis. You don't though need a Church to find God and welcome Him into your life, or to read the words and teachings of Jesus and find hope and comfort in His words. He is there, everywhere, always and forever, as I have so recently found out.
If you need to find someone, or to seek a gathering, where words of comfort and hope can be laid bare for you we do now live in a time where technology can help. There are many Churches online that are streaming services so that His words can still be sown around the world. If your means are more limited, you are worried about showing your faith, or do not have the personality for group gatherings, the sermons can be downloaded and read in your own time.
I miss my guide at the moment, for she has spent more time studying his words than I can imagine, more time with Him than I ever will, and she could always point me to the appropriate place so I could find His guidance, wisdom and comfort when required. But she is not here at the moment, I am not her and do not know His words so well, so here is not the place to seek those out. That is not my place! I am not a messenger or guide, I am not a leader, I am a scribe. I have so many words and I am glad I have now found a place to put them down.
I hope that when we come out the other side of this that enough of you will find God and live by what Christ taught us to make a real difference and rebuild a better place. I am glad that the Church will be there to help those in need. It will need many more people like my guide to help with the load that will be placed upon it, but I am sure He knows those that are fit for this role and will call out to them.
I fear that society will be more unequal than ever, that those who worship wants over needs, those whose sole aim seems to be to acquire more of anything and everything for no other reason than to say they own it will use it as an excuse to gather more at the expense of those who live more frugal lives.
Take care out there and stay safe.
